Blueberry smoothie is a thick, creamy blended drink that showcases the sweet-tart flavor and deep purple color of blueberries. The berries pair naturally with the mellow sweetness of banana and the tang of yogurt, creating a balanced and refreshing taste. Its smooth texture and fruity aroma make it appealing as a quick breakfast, snack, or light dessert.

Historically, smoothies grew popular in the United States in the mid-20th century with the wider availability of electric blenders and frozen fruit. Blueberry versions emerged as blueberries became recognized as a prized North American fruit, celebrated for both flavor and nutrition. Over time, the blueberry smoothie has become a staple in juice bars, cafés, and home kitchens, often adapted with different dairy or sweeteners but still centered on the distinctive character of blueberries.
