Orange Mango Smoothie

Instructions

1. Prepare the fruit by peeling and dicing the mango, peeling the oranges and removing any seeds, and slicing the banana.

2. Add the mango, orange segments, banana, plain yogurt, and orange juice to a blender.

3. Add the honey and ice cubes to the blender on top of the fruit mixture.

4. Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy, 45–60 seconds, stopping once or twice to scrape down the sides if needed.

5. Check the consistency; if the smoothie is too thick, blend in a little more orange juice, 1–2 tablespoons at a time, until it reaches a pourable texture.

6. Taste and adjust sweetness with a bit more honey if desired, then blend briefly to combine.

7. Pour the orange mango smoothie into two glasses and serve immediately while cold and frothy.

Orange Mango Smoothie is a bright, tropical drink that blends the tangy sweetness of oranges with the lush, aromatic flavor of mango. The result is a creamy, refreshing smoothie with a naturally sunny color and a balance of citrus zip and mellow sweetness. Adding a little banana and yogurt gives the drink body and silkiness, turning it into a satisfying breakfast or snack rather than just a juice.

Orange- and mango-based smoothies grew popular alongside the global rise of blended fruit drinks in the late 20th century, especially in juice bars and home blenders across North America and Europe. The combination itself draws on long traditions of mango and citrus consumption in tropical regions, but the smoothie format reflects modern preferences for convenient, drinkable fruit meals. Today, orange mango smoothies are common on café menus and in home kitchens, often adapted with different dairy or plant-based additions while keeping the core pairing of orange and mango intact.
