Mezcal

Mezcal is a distilled agave spirit from Mexico, typically clear and bottled around 40–55% ABV. It shows pronounced smoke, earthy minerality, and green agave notes with an aroma of warm campfire; it is sipped neat or mixed in cocktails where a smoky, vegetal backbone shines, and common styles are joven (unaged), reposado (briefly aged), and añejo (longer aged).\n\nProduction concentrates in Oaxaca and other Denomination of Origin states, where agave piñas are pit-roasted, crushed, fermented, and pot-distilled.
