Fresh Strawberry Tart

Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch frozen pie shell
  • 3 T apple jelly
  • 1 3/4 oz. package vanilla or lemon flavor instant pudding
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 t vanilla
  • 1 pint strawberrieshulled

Instructions

1. Bake pie shell as directed; cool on a rack. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the apple jelly; remove the saucepan from the heat and keep the jelly warm.

2. When the crust is warm, prepare the instant pudding as directed on the package, using only 1 1/2 cups milk and adding the vanilla. Spoon the prepared pudding into the cooked shell, arrange the hulled strawberries on top, and brush the strawberries with the melted apple jelly. Refrigerate until set.
