Avocado Banana Smoothie

Instructions

1. Prepare the produce by peeling and slicing the banana, pitting the avocado and scooping out the flesh, and rinsing and drying the spinach leaves.

2. Add the sliced banana, avocado flesh, spinach leaves, plain yogurt, and cold milk to a blender pitcher.

3. Add the honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ice cubes to the blender.

4. Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy, 45–60 seconds, stopping once or twice to scrape down the sides if needed.

5. Check the consistency; if you prefer a thinner smoothie, blend in a little more milk a tablespoon at a time until it reaches your desired thickness.

6. Taste and adjust sweetness with a bit more honey if needed, then give the smoothie a final quick blend to combine.

7. Pour the avocado banana smoothie into two glasses and finish with a light pinch of ground cinnamon on top of each before serving immediately.

Avocado Banana Smoothie is a creamy, naturally sweet blended drink that combines the lush richness of avocado with the familiar sweetness of ripe banana. The avocado lends a velvety texture and healthy fats, while banana provides body and a mellow, dessert-like flavor without needing much added sugar. Blended with milk, yogurt, and ice, it becomes a satisfying drinkable snack or light breakfast that tastes indulgent yet feels nourishing.

Although smoothies as a category are relatively modern, the pairing of avocado and banana has gained popularity worldwide as global access to tropical fruits has expanded. This combination is especially common in health-focused cafes and home kitchens that emphasize whole foods and nutrient-dense ingredients. Over time, cooks have layered in additions like leafy greens, spices, and yogurt, but the core idea remains a thick, rich drink that showcases the natural creaminess of avocado and banana together.
