Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
Chop Rating: —/5
Ingredients
- 2 ripe banana – peeled and sliced, frozen if possible
- 1.5 cups milk – cold
- 0.33 cup peanut butter – creamy, unsweetened if possible
- 0.5 cup plain yogurt – cold
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Prepare the bananas by peeling and slicing them; use frozen banana slices for a thicker, creamier smoothie.
- Add the milk, peanut butter, plain yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon to a blender.
- Add the banana slices and the ice cubes on top of the liquids in the blender.
- Blend on low speed to start breaking up the bananas and ice, then increase to high speed and blend until completely smooth and creamy, 45–60 seconds.
- Stop the blender and scrape down the sides with a spatula if needed, then blend again briefly until everything is evenly mixed.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness with a little more honey if desired, blending again for a few seconds.
- Pour the peanut butter banana smoothie into two chilled glasses and serve immediately while cold and frothy.
