Ingredients
- lemon – wheel (for serving)
- cloves – whole, to stud lemon (for serving)
- 4 ounces water
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 0.5 ounce lemon – juiced
- 2 ounces whiskey
Instructions
- Cut a lemon wheel and stud it with whole cloves; set aside.
- Heat 4 ounces water just to a boil, then let it sit for 15–30 seconds so it’s very hot but not violently boiling.
- Add the honey and lemon juice to a heatproof mug.
- Pour it into the mug and stir until the honey dissolves, 10–15 seconds.
- Add the whiskey and stir gently. Garnish with the clove‑studded slice and serve hot.
