1 medium banana – peeled and sliced into thin rounds
2 teaspoons honey
0.13 teaspoons ground cinnamon – optional, for sprinkling
flaky sea salt – a small pinch, for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions
Spread the softened butter evenly over one side of each slice of bread.
Place the bread, buttered side up, in a toaster oven or under a broiler and toast until golden brown and crisp, 2–4 minutes, watching closely so it does not burn. Alternatively, toast the bread in a toaster, then lightly rub the toasted sides with the softened butter.
While the bread toasts, peel the banana and slice it into thin rounds about 0.25 inch thick.
When the toast is ready, immediately spread the peanut butter evenly over the warm toast, dividing it between the two slices.
Arrange the banana slices in a single, slightly overlapping layer on top of the peanut butter on each piece of toast.
Drizzle the honey evenly over the banana-topped toast.
Lightly sprinkle ground cinnamon over the top, if using, then add a very small pinch of flaky sea salt to each slice, if desired.
Serve the banana, peanut butter, and honey toast right away while the bread is still warm.
